SEPTEMBER 1-4 LABOR DAY ASSOCIATION @ GIBSON CO FAIRGROUNDS

 

One of the nation’s oldest Labor Day Celebrations returns to Gibson County Fairgrounds, in Princeton, September 1, thru 4th.     Entrance to the fairgrounds and parking are FREE and again this year, all carnival and amusement rides are FREE throughout the entire weekend. Attractions at this year’s celebration include the Queen Pageant, Free Open Karaoke Night and Moto Cross on Friday, Truck and Tractor Pull on Saturday and Demolition Derby on Sunday.  Other events include the cutest pet contest, cutest baby contest, car show, poker run, talent show, gospel sing and  featured speaker, Mark Lause, Ph.D. Senior Professor of History at the University of Cincinnati will speak on “Lincoln and Labor”  Vendor displays, food booths, and amusement rides are available throughout the holiday weekend with the area’s largest parade on Labor Day.  For a complete listing of events and times log on to www.labordayassoc.com

 

SEPTEMBER 1-4 PALESTINE RODEO, PALESTINE, ILLINOIS

46TH Annual Montgomery Turkey Trot Festival is Thursday September  7th thru Sunday September 10th at Montgomery Park, in Montgomery, Indiana.  Enjoy rides, games, delicious foods, turkey races, bingo, fun, and entertainment.
