GIBSON COUNTY SOLID WASTE HOLIDAY HOURS

 Gibson County Solid Waste Management announces special hours for Christmas and New Years, so employees may spend time with family!  All Gibson County Trash Sites will be closed Saturday, December 23rd and Monday, December 25th  for Christmas!   Then reopen regular days and hours, December 26th thru the 29th!   For New Years all sites will be closed Saturday, Dec. 30th and Monday January 1st, then reopen January 2nd, on the regular schedule!       Also, your Trash and Compost Site on County Road One Seventy Five East, normally closed on Tuesday, will be open Dec 26th and Jan 2nd     Trash and Compost Site will also begin new hours in February, Tuesday thru Saturday, seven til three.Make your New Years Resolution to  Recycle at Gibson County Solid Waste!   Check hours and what can be recycled at Gibson County  Solid Waste dot com!    Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all from Mike Stilwell and all the employees serving you at Gibson County Solid Waste Management!

The Gibson County Visitors & Tourism Bureau in association with the Princeton Business & Retail Merchants Association has announced the winners from the Downtown Princeton Snowflake Parade held on Saturday, December 2, 2017. The theme of the 2017 parade was “A Candyland Christmas.”  Parade entries were judged on originality, creative use of lights and overall appeal, with the top seven parade entries receiving a trophy.  The 2017 Snowflake Parade winners are the Pediatrics Center, Gibson County Fair Board featuring the Gibson County Fair Queens, Miss Candy Cane Pageant, Princeton Auto Parke, Parker Excavating, St. Joseph Catholic School, and Princeton FFA.  Sponsors for the 2017 Snowflake Parade are Colvin Funeral Home, Toyota Boshoku Indiana, Gibson County Warehousing, St. Joseph School, Southern Indiana Tire, Patriot Chevrolet Buick GMC, Toyota Tsusho America, German American Bancorp, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, Nidec Motor Corp., Koberstein Rental & Sales, Farm Bureau Insurance, First Bank, Walmart, Enon General Baptist Church, Good Samaritan Home, Parker Excavating and the Gibson County Visitors & Tourism Bureau.

YOUTH CENTER OPEN FOR AFTERSCHOOL ACTIVITIES   

 

Gibson County Youth Center, across from Princeton Library,  is now open for the season!  Center will be open after school to boys and girls, Monday thru Thursday, from 3 til 6 p.m!  After-school activities include basketball, billiards, play station and study station.
