Indiana's legislators were sworn in Tuesday, marking the first meeting on the 118th General Assembly.
The 100 members of the House include 19 new Republicans - and one of those is a Princeton native.
Tom Washburne will serve House District 64, which includes portions of Gibson, Knox, Posey, Pike and Vanderburgh Counties.
The seats gained by the Republicans in this month's election makes the chamber, walkout-proof.
