EVV Homeless Shelter Gears Up for Cold  E-mail

Officials with the Evansville Rescue Mission say they're at full capacity as the homeless there get out of the cold.
About 200 men are able to take refuge from the weather as the rescue mission goes to winter contingency mode - meaning no one is turned away.
Those seeking refuge are required to pass a breathalyzer test and cannot be a sex offender, and officials say next month the mission will move to a larger facility in the old VA clinic on Walnut Street. It's capacity will be 440.

Up to the minute weather from our partners at Eyewitness News.
