Another economic incentive approved by Gibson County officials. Gibson County Council last night was the final group to sign off on a plan to help Gibson County Warehousing add on to their facility. The one million dollar TIF incentive will fund about a quarter of a planned expansion south of Princeton. It will add 100,000 square feet to the facility and will allow GCQA to hire another 60 workers. The conditional incentive package, made in the form of a forgiveable loan, will require Gibson County Warehousing to repay it in the event job performance criteria is not met, or if the facility is closed or moved. Late last year officials approved a similar request for VUTEQ, bringing 100 more jobs to that county employer.
