The Mount Carmel man accused of molesting an 11 year old girl on Thanksgiving day of 2010 - is found guilty.
The verdict ended a six day bench trial in Wabash Circuit Court with judge Larry Dunn handing down the guilty verdict against 48 year old Jay A. Griggs.
Some 28 witnesses took the stand during the trial, including the victim in the case - and Griggs in his own defense.
Griggs remains free on bond until his March 14th sentencing - and faces a maximum punishment of 3 to 7 years with the Illinois Department of Corrections.
