Haubstadt Woman Pleads Guilty  E-mail

The Haubstadt woman charged with making false statements to police - says she's guilty.
35 year old Emily Snipes was in US District Court in Evansville Monday to admit to the crime, and receive a sentence of two years' probation, a $10,000 fine - and restitution to both the FBI and the Gibson County Sheriff's Office for expenses they incurred investigating threats she said were made against her.
Court records indicate Snipes began last February to send both email and postal service mail to send threats to herself and co-workers - which she then reported to police.
She also admitted in court to staging a burglary in her garage, spray painting her car and reported her laptop had been stolen - actions that at one point caused police to place her house under 24 hour protection.
