The bill proposing Indiana allow alcohol sales on Sunday is dead in Committee. The chairman of the House Public Policy committee confirms he will not bring the bill addressing alcohol sales on Sundays to a committee vote, saying there are bigger issues the legislature needs to address. The Indiana Retail Council is one of the groups strongly supporting the bill. President Grant Monahan says he's disappointed with the decision. The bill‘s author, Rep. Sean Eberhart (R-Shelbyville) says the bill‘s supporters presented a fair and valid argument in committee as to why sales should be allowed, adding adding the decision of whether or not it is in the best interest of the state is best done after a full floor debate.
