Residents of the East Gibson area could hear a loud noise next week as a pipeline company does some maintenance work.
Officials with Enterprise Products - formerly Texas Eastern say their terminal near the intersection of 57 and 64 in Oakland City will be conducting operations next Wednesday from around 2 in the afternoon until 4 or 5 in the evening. Local residents may hear a long, steady high pitch whistling due to air being released
out of a valve site for the duration of that time.
Officials say there's no chemicals being released in the process, and there's no need for alarm.
