More Flu Deaths  E-mail

It appeared last week that flu was leveling-off in Indiana. But now the Indiana State Department of Health says four more persons have died from the illness in the state during the past week.
The toll now stands at 56, and the flu is described as widespread. Four of the victims have been younger than 18.
State Health Commissioner William VanNess says there a few more months left in the flu season and he emphasizes it is not too late to get a level of protection with a flu shot.
