INDOT Talking Upgrades at Junction  E-mail

The Indiana Department of Transportation is getting ready to upgrade the flashing signal at the Owensville junction.
The T intersection of state roads 64 and 65 between Princeton and Mount Carmel has long been a tricky one to navigate - and IN-DOT had plans to upgrade the flashing signal to a full-fledged stop light, and to add turn lanes there in 2014 - but Gibson County Commissioners had asked them to accelerate those plans after a fatal traffic accident there last summer - and because heavier traffic could soon be in the area because of the new coal mine near Owensville.
The Clarion reports IN-DOT will give commissioners a 'walk-through' of the plans for upgrades at the intersection March 20th at 9:30 AM.

Up to the minute weather from our partners at Eyewitness News.

There is an active Amber Alert when this graphic is flashing
