The Indiana State Police say the way gun permits are issued in the Hoosier state is changing. If you're applying to carry a concealed weapon in Indiana you can now only do that online. State Police officials say the paperwork is being done away with - and that should improve the time it takes to get approval. That coupled with the electronic fingerprinting will cut a 17 week process down to about 12, with officials saying the time taken now is due in part to the large volume of submissions received.
