Much of Evansville drying out after Monday's rains dump over three inches. Evansville Police say they got more than 40 calls for help during the downpour - with requests ranging from water rescues to abandoned cars blocking the roadway. Officials say some areas east of Vann on Evansville's east side got as much as 7 inches of rain - with many reports of standing water up to the steering wheels of cars near Eastland Mall. Princeton spared the worst - receiving 1.15 inches of rain, and most of that before 6:00 AM.
