INDOT is clearing the way for the largest number of Labor Day travelers since 2008. The state has suspended most highway construction and maintenance starting today and running through Labor Day, Monday in anticipating of the expecting rush of holiday travel. Where possible, restrictions have been removed. But some closures and restrictions will have to stay in place. Interstate lane restrictions in the Indianapolis area will hamper traffic flow along Interstate 65/ Interstate 70 near the north and south splits.
