Demolition of an eyesore in South Gibson could be getting underway next week. The owner of A&T Concrete in Fort Branch has purchased the old Emge site just south of Fort Branch from Congress Oil, and the Clarion reports plans are in place to demolish the burned out buildings and warehouses as soon as possible. A&T says recent road construction contracts have forced him to look for room to grow the business and the site was perfect for that. Company officials say the new space is an addition to their current location along US 41, and they add that the several business that have leases to operate warehouses in the remaining good buildings there will be allowed to stay. It's expected work will begin Monday.
