Law enforcement in Gibson County say their recent increased patrols battled impaired driving. The Gibson County Traffic Safety Partnership is comprised of Princeton Police, Oakland City Police, and the Gibson County Sheriff's Office. Officials say during the month of November some six officers from those agencies put in 44 and a half hours of overtime paid for by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute - all looking for dangerous driving. The period ended December first, and during that time officers wrote 77 citations, gave 13 warnings, and made two arrests.
