The rush is on at the Salvation Army to meet the red kettle goal. Lieutenant Jonathan Cooper of the Salvation Army of Gibson and Pike County says right now the fund raising campaign is about $6,000 behind schedule. That red kettle campaign is the largest single fund raising push the Salvation Army has annually - and it largely funds the more than 12,000 meals they serve each year. Cooper reminds donors that the money raised here - stays here, and that 89 cents of every dollar raised in Gibson and Pike Counties goes directly to services or programming.
