Ivy Tech's Princeton Campus will get TIF funding help on their expansion plan there. School officials are looking to expand training and curriculum offerings at the campus south of Princeton by building a welding lab, and a new 'mechatronics' lab that combines mechanical engineering, electronic control and systems training. And they'd asked county officials for from $600,000 in tax increment financing money to help pay for the project. The Clarion reports redevelopment commission members voted Monday to approve the plan, giving IVY Tech $200,000 in the first year, and then $100,000 annually over the next 4. The school will match that with 2-point-1 million of their own money for the project.
