Tour includes weed management strategies, corn population density changes, nitrogen timing, Climate FieldView Plus, Dekalb breeding and characterization advancements, new DEKALB Disease shield, and new 2016 lineup. All area farmers are invited to this DEKALB and Asgrow Ag Academy on Tuesday August 2, beginning in the morning at 9 am Eastern time, at Boyd Grain Farm, in Washington, In.
AUG 2-6, OAKLAND CITY LIONS CLUB SWEET CORN FESTIVAL
Sweet Corn Festival Parade will officially kick off the Sweet Corn Festival on Tuesday, August 2nd , at 6 p.m. from Downtown Oakland City to Wirth Park. Following the parade there will be an exciting Country Concert by Dewayne Spaw! Festival is Tuesday thru Saturday, featuring delicious Smoked Pork Chop or Fried Chicken Dinners, with corn on the cob, beginning at 4 pm daily, in the air conditioned Community Center at Wirth Park. Lions Club will also be serving sandwiches for lunch, Wednesday thru Saturday from 11 a til 1 p. The public will also be able to purchase fresh sweet corn by the dozen during the festival and kids can register for free bicycle all week long. Sweet Corn Festival is sponsored by the Oakland City Lions Club, at Wirth Park, in Oakland City. Free admission, and free parking every night.
